NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO – Carol Ann (Simcox) Dick of East Liverpool Ohio went home to be with the Lord on August 23, 2022, surrounded by the love of her family.
Carol was born on July 27, 1939 in Chester, West Virginia. She married the late Joseph Stewart Dick and together they had two spitfire sons, the late Joseph (Karen) Frank Dick of New Philadelphia Ohio and Matthew (Jennifer) Scott Dick of Cape Coral Florida.
Carol is a long-time resident of East Liverpool where she worked at the pottery and as a housekeeper. Her most loved job was being a Mom. She was so proud of her boys. Carol never forgot a birthday, holiday, anniversary or milestone. A card from her to celebrate an event was a guarantee. Carol was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. She donated to whomever she could and loved her Publishers Clearing House. She was full of love and spunk for anyone who crossed her path. Later in life she has enjoyed her Silver Sneakers classes at the YMCA. To know Carol was to lover her. She will be deeply missed.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Ruby Simcox; her sister and her husband Barbara (William) Stambaugh; her great-nephew Alex Rood, and her son Joey.
She has seven adoring grandchildren; David (Stacy) Dick, Cpt. Cassondra (John) Loftus, Lannan (AJ) Starcher, 2nd Lt. Austin Dick, Ryan Dick, Kaiden Dick, and Rilyn Dick who all call her the best Meemaw ever. She will be missed by her niece Lori Rood of Texas, nephew William (Angel) Stambaugh of Ohio, and good friend Shirley Simcox.
In accordance with Carol’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at a later date in October at Columbiana County Memorial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home.
