Obituary for Carol J. McCune (Perkins)
EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Carol J. McCune, 89, of East Liverpool passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Orchards of East Liverpool.
Carol was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on May 31, 1932 a daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Fetty) Perkins. She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1950. Carol was a lifetime resident of East Liverpool with the exception of one year she lived in Texas. She began working weekends as a young girl at the Ceramic Theatre, later at Potters Supply then at Homer Laughlin China where she worked 23 years as a handle finisher. Carol greatly enjoyed her sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family members.
Preceding Carol in death were here husband, whom she married September 30, 1950, Donald H. McCune; grandson Joshua R. McCune; two sisters Barbara Reynolds and Judy Perkins and two brothers Richard and James Perkins.
Left to cherish her memory were her two sons Dave McCune and his wife Nancy of East Liverpool and Steve McCune and his wife Kathy of Wellsville; three grandchildren Brian McCune of East Liverpool, Jennifer Craig of East Palestine and Kevin McCune of East Liverpool; two great grandchildren Aubrey Marie Craig of East Palestine and Cady McCune of East Liverpool; sister Jackie Hardy of Columbus and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Monday where the family will be present from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Evangelist Will Montgomery of St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ will conduct a service on Monday at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
