Obituary for Carol Ann Pearson (Clark)

CAROL ANN CLARK PEARSON, 72

PITTSBURGH – Former East Liverpool resident Carol Ann Clark Pearson passed away at the age of 72 on Friday afternoon, March 18, 2016. She had been in failing health for quite some time and died at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born on June 30, 1943 in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Edna Ellis Bell Browne and Nelson James Clark, Sr.

Carol was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and had worked at the Tobin Center in Lisbon.

She was preceded in death in December 2015 by her husband, Leozie “Leo” Pearson, Jr., whom she married in 1964. Their daughter, Nicole Pearson Gomez, passed away in October of 2015, as well as her brother Nelson “Sonny” Clark, Jr.

Surviving her is a son, Leozie “T.C.” Pearson III, along with five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Carol also leaves behind her siblings: Amelia Smith of New Jersey, Rose Loker of Pittsburgh, Janet “Tookie” Clark of Avalon, Pennsylvania, Cheryl Carter Reed of Columbus, Richard I. Dorsey of Georgia, Jerry Browne of Colorado and Less Browne of Hamilton, Ontario.

Rev. Rolland L. Owens will conduct a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service.

Burial will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Pittsburgh.
