Obituary for Carol A. Tanner (Bishop)
EAST PALESTINE, OHIO – Carol A. “Bubba” Tanner, 79, of East Liverpool passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in East Palestine.
Carol was born in East Liverpool on September 11, 1941 a daughter of the late Gerald and Laura (Ammon) Bishop. She worked at several nursing homes including Adkins, Fox’s and Calcutta Health Care. She enjoyed working in her yard growing flowers and collecting statues.
Preceding Carol in death were her husband, whom she married December 20, 1985, Richard D. Tanner; two brothers Ed and Larry Bishop and half-brother Gerald Bishop.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Tammie L. Hill of East Liverpool; four sons Terry Stewart and his wife Karen of East Liverpool, Mark Stewart of East Liverpool, Marvin Stewart of East Liverpool and James Tanner of East Liverpool; sixteen grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister Laura Mae Sailing of Toronto, OH; brother Richard Bishop of Wichita, KS; two half-sisters Melanie Washington and Dawn Funk; half-brother Brian Bishop and her dogs Angel and Molly.
A private service was held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home.
