Carol Sue Tanner, 67
EAST LIVERPOOL – Carol Sue Tanner, of East Liverpool, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 30, 2021 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was 67.
Born in Sistersville, West Virginia, December 21, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Laura Quinn Shreves. A resident of this area most of her life, she worked at Marsh Bellofram until retiring.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Russell Tanner. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Patty Ann Jordan.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Lucille Tanner (Charles Rowley) of East Liverpool, and a son, William Paul Tanner of Chester, along with two grandsons whom she raised, Doug Tanner (Danielle) of East Liverpool, and Ryan Lilly (Rachael) of East Liverpool, as well as three additional grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She also leaves two sisters, Laura Mae Shreves of Paden City, and Ethel Marie Goff of Martins Ferry, along with two brothers, Kenneth Paul Shreves and Robert Eugene Shreves.
Pastors Jeff and Lisa Smith of Grace City Church will conduct a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Masks and social distancing are required.
