Obituary for Carolyn Jean Linger

Carolyn Jean Linger, 84

SACHSE, TX – Carolyn Jean Frederick Linger of Sachse, Texas passed April 21, 2022, away after a very brief stay at Winter's Park Nursing Home on hospice in Garland, Texas. She was surrounded by family who never left her side.

Born in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Robert H. Frederick and Elsie M. Wilton Frederick. Carolyn graduated from East Liverpool High School class of 1955. She attended Ohio Valley Business School after graduating.
Carolyn loved her grandchildren and there were a lot of them. Carolyn prided herself by retiring from Payless Cashways Lumber Yard where she was a cashier. Carolyn loved the Frederick family and was proud to be by her own words "The only child in a big family." She was the last of the Frederick clan. Every day she checked the obituaries in the East Liverpool Review to make sure she wasn't there. If you're reading this in heaven, Mom, you finally made it!

Carolyn was married to Raymond Lee Linger who passed in April 2019. Our parents had a pen pal relationship and fell in love on paper even before meeting in person. Our father surprised her with a visit from the Airforce at Christmas time and love began. They married June 8, 1957. They moved to Austin, Texas to start their life together.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Alice Mae Crabtree. Brothers Robert, William, John Clifford, Dale, and Thomas Keith Frederick.

She is survived by 5 children, Diane (Dan) Chesnut, Sharon (Rob) Palmer, Vicki Linger (Alaa Awad) Kenneth (Lori) Linger, Jennifer (Tyson) Colleton. Fourteen Grandchildren Kristopher (Michelle), Eric (Sobia), Joe (Sarah), Omar (Kate), Michael (Alyssa), Ileana (Doug), Kenah (Fernie) Ahmed (Fereshta), Abdulrahman (Mabroka), Karlie, Akram, Damion, Tariq, Lillith and 22 Great Grandchildren.

She will be laid to rest at Columbiana County Memorial Park where the family will gather at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, July 3, 2022, at the cemetery chapel.

Psalm 6:2 Have compassion on me Lord, for I am weak. Heal me Lord for my bones are in agony. Fighting Parkinson's Dementia with falls. Mom you are now healed. Give Dad a hug for all of us.
