Obituary for Carolyn Wolfe

Carolyn Wolfe, 89

EAST LIVERPOOL - Carolyn Maureen Wolfe, 89, of East Liverpool, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 1, 2022. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

She graduated in 1950 from Wellsville High School, where she had many fond memories and made many of her lifelong friends.

After graduation, her first job was working at Fortners Drug Store, then Homer Laughlin China Company where she worked on the bubble machine. Later in life she worked in the Garden Center at Walmart in Calcutta.

She lived most of her adult life in Glenmoor where she and her husband, John, built their home together and raised their four children. Carolyn loved gardening, spending time outdoors attending to her flowers and cooking for her family. She loved having picnics outside in their backyard with all the grown children and neighbors (who were like family). She later moved to Santa Clara Estates in Calcutta.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Beulah (Murray) Rose, her husband of 45 years John E. Wolfe, sister LaVerne (Rose) Krafft (Robert), brother Harry Rose and her granddaughter Ashley (Rabon) Smith.

She leaves behind her four children whom she loved dearly. John Wolfe (Joyce), Julie Rabon (Randy), Heidi Jarvis (Dave) and Jared Wolfe (Jamie). She had many grandchildren who called her GG. Marlana Crooms, Christopher Norris (Sara), Aubrey Ellis (Billy), Randy Rabon Jr, Amanda Davis (Jason), Zhanna Hoeffler (Alex), Asia Crooms, Lillian Crooms, Jacob Wolfe, Riley Wolfe also a step granddaughter Lindsey Doughty (Mike). She also will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and loving lifelong friends.

Carolyn spent her entire life serving and loving Jesus. She was a member of the First Nazarene in Newell, then attended First Free Methodist Church in Wellsville and later East Liverpool First church of the Nazarene. She made many lifelong friendships over the years and was a beacon of light guiding others to know Jesus as their Savior.

Family and friends may visit Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Pastor Mark Blakeley will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
