Obituary for Charlotte Goodballet
Charlotte Goodballet, 97
EAST LIVERPOOL – Charlotte Goodballet, of East Liverpool, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, at the Calcutta Health Care Center. She was 97.
Born in East Liverpool, December 3, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Frances Campbell Birch. For nearly 30 years, she worked as a bookkeeper at the former Potters Bank and Trust which later became National City Bank. She was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1942 and a charter member of the East Liverpool Women’s Club. Charlotte was a member of the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, Gerald C. “Jerry” Goodballet, passed away January 12, 2021. The couple married August 30, 1946. She was also preceded by two sisters, Betty Ward and Ann Clark, and a brother, David Birch.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters: Connie Frederick and her husband, Steve, of East Liverpool and Linda Harrold of Lisbon; three grandchildren: Julie Ford and her husband, John, of New Middletown, Ohio, Doug English and his wife, Marci, of Columbiana and Christopher Yanni and his wife, Nicole, of Saco, Maine, and five great-grandchildren: Callie Ford, Jake Ford, Jameson English, Madeline English and Charlotte Yanni.
Margie Zellars CP of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Calcutta Health Care Center for the wonderful care they provided.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed in Charlotte’s memory to Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 767 Park Boulevard, East Liverpool, OH 43920.
