Cherri Lee Lane, 75
EAST LIVERPOOL – Cherri Lee Lane, of East Liverpool, passed away Sunday morning, August 14, 2022, at the Calcutta Health Care Center. She was 75.
Born June 7, 1947, in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Paul William and Vivian Fickle Russell.
A lifetime area resident, Cherri retired from the former Hall China Company in 2010 as a finisher and decal worker. Prior to working at Hall’s, she was employed by the former Harker China Company. She attended the former Calvary Methodist Church. She volunteered for the East End Red Devils, East Liverpool Volleyball Boosters, East Liverpool Baseball and Softball Boosters, and the Olde Timers Baseball Complex.
A graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1965, Cherri loved family get-togethers, her wonderful friends, bowling, bingo and spending time at the track playing slot machines. Above all things in life, Cherri loved her family and supported her grandchildren’s activities.
Survivors include her “high school sweetheart” and husband Robert C. “Pepper” Lane, whom she married January 22, 1966. There are three children, her daughter Jill Czech and her husband, Chad, of East Liverpool, and two sons, Robert “Rob” Lane and his wife, Tabitha, of Lisbon, and Barry Lane and his wife, Shelly, of Wellsville.
In addition, there are fifteen grandchildren: Cameron, Mackenzie, Dustin, Dylan, Brady, Alyssa, Joey, Lexi, Lindsay, Olivia, Tanner, Gabrielle, Christen, Casey and Amber, as well as nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her cousins, Aus Fickle and his wife, Bobbie, Bobby Glenn and John Glenn, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Michael Russell and his wife, Carol.
Pastor Dirk Hall will conduct a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit from noon to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at a later date at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
