Obituary for Cheryl Hinton
East Liverpool, Ohio- Cheryl Anne Hinton, 67, of Stagecoach Road passed away Monday, April 10th, 2023 at the Jefferson Hospital in Clairton, Pennsylvania at 8:50 am following a lengthy illness.
Born December 13th, 1955 in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Dale and Verna M. McDevitt Merriman. A lifetime area resident, she was the manager at Quaker Pool & Spa for 18 years. She owned and operated the Oasis at one time and she also worked as a pharmacy technician at Rite Aid.
A member of the Longs Run Presbyterian Church, she had taught Sunday School in the past. She loved riding Quads, swimming and lounging by the pool, spending time outdoors and volunteering to help the United Way. Cheryl was a graduate of Beaver Local High School Class of 1974.
Survivors include her ex-husband and best friend, Ron Hinton; one son, Jeremy Hinton and his wife, Sarah of East Liverpool; two grandchildren, Jalynn Hinton and Shea Hinton.
In addition, she leaves behind her son from another mother, Eric J. Wiley and his two children, Alexis and Addi Wiley; one brother, Greg Mays; step-sister, Beth Havelock; one step-brother, Mike Havelock; and two grandchildren, Lexi Byerly and Braden Byerly
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her ex-husband, Terry Byerly; an infant son, Brock Hinton in 1980; and one sister, Victoria Lynn Merriman in 1969.
As per Cheryl’s wishes there will be no public visitation or service. The Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool in is charge of all local arrangements.
