Obituary for Clark M. Gentry

HOOKSTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA – Clark M. Gentry, 85, of Hookstown, PA passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at his home with his family by his side following a lengthy illness.

Clark was born in Kentucky on February 27, 1934 a son of the late Glen and Elon (Bicknell) Gentry in a family of eight siblings. He was a veteran of the US Army proudly serving his country as a mechanic during the Korean Conflict. Clark retired in 1989 as a purchasing manager from the former US Airways. He loved to hunt. He also liked to tinker and work on things.

Clark was preceded in death by his wife Bette J. (Sutton) Gentry.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons Doug Gentry and his wife Lisa of Hookstown, PA and Tony Gentry and his fiancée Heather Michael of Georgetown, PA; four grandsons Cameron Gentry and his wife Danielle of Hookstown, PA, Nicholas Gentry of Hookstown, PA, Austin Gentry of Hookstown, PA and Shane Gentry of Monaca, PA; step grandchildren Mackalla, Ashtyn and Brandon Michael all of Georgetown, PA and great grandson Landon Gentry of Hookstown, PA.

Friends may visit Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. Rev. Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a funeral service Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery where Tri State Veterans Burial Group will provide military honors.
