DANIEL W. “UNCLE DAN” FITCH, 69

EAST LIVERPOOL – Daniel W. Fitch, affectionately known by his family and friends as “Uncle Dan”, passed away at 2:25 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Trinity West in Steubenville. He was 69 and had been ill for quite some time.

He was a son of the late Edgar L. and Helen Marie Wood Fitch, born in East Liverpool on March 26, 1946 and was a lifelong area resident.

Uncle Dan served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post #736 in Glenmoor.

His girlfriend, Patty Beaver, survives him, as well as two daughters: Julie Woolley and her husband, Elvis, of East Liverpool, and Beth Koster and her husband, Denny, of Youngstown. A stepson, Raymond Ammon and his wife, Missy, of East Liverpool, also survives, along with nine grandchildren and one brother, Gary Fitch and his wife, Glenda, also of East Liverpool.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Gravlin, and three brothers: William G. Fitch, Sr., Robert Fitch and Larry Fitch.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday, where the family will be present from 2 to 8 p.m.

Services will take place at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park where the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will provide full military honors.
