Obituary for Danny J. Deshler

Danny J. Deshler, 70

EAST LIVERPOOL – Danny J. Deshler, of East Liverpool, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 10:10 a.m. at the East Liverpool City Hospital. He was 70 years old.

Born in East Liverpool, February 27, 1950, he was a son of the late Louis and Olive Thornton Deshler. A resident of this area all his life, he worked for the City of East Liverpool where he was associate with the Police Department. Previously, he worked for the Litter Department. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1968.

Danny loved people and had an infectious personality. He faithfully attended morning Mass everyday followed by his trip to Tim Horton’s where he loved to visit with friends. He also enjoyed trips to Lincoln Park performances with Betsi and Matthew. His other pastimes included traveling and taking cruises with family, and he cherished the memories of several trips to visit his daughter, Jyl, in Florida.

On November 27, 1981, he married Glenda J. Webber Deshler, and they later became the proud parents of two daughters and loved following them and supporting them in all their life’s endeavors. Glenda preceded him in death on February 18, 2015.

Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Jylanna E. “Jyl” Deshler of Davenport, Florida, and Betsi Mudrick and her husband, Matthew, of East Liverpool. He also leaves his faithful canine friend, Yoda, who was always at his side.

Friends may visit Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Fr. Scott Kopp will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:45 a.m. Friday.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions in care of Holy Trinity Parish, 512 Monroe Street, East Liverpool.
