Obituary for David W. Ibbs
EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – David W. “Ibbsy” Ibbs, 65, of East Liverpool passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at his home.
David was born in East Liverpool on May 8, 1954 a son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Parr) Ibbs. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1973. David loved fishing in the local creeks and on Lake Erie. He enjoyed horticulture and was known for his green thumb. David deeply loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a devoted friend and cherished the memories of those friends that left this world too soon.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, whom he married September 26, 1975, Marion (Morrison) Ibbs; two daughters Sunny Wolski and her husband Jason of East Liverpool and Misty Burton and her husband Max of Negley; son Dustin Ibbs and his companion Marissa Vennitti of East Liverpool; six grandchildren Bradley Gibson, Heavyn Wolski, Briar Wolski, Parker Burton, Logan Burton and Elena Venniti; brother Robert A. Ibbs of Chester and two sisters Judith Gill and her husband Thomas of East Liverpool and Debra L. Waite and her husband Ronald of Canton.
Friends may visit Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 6 p.m. Minister Jason Pancake will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers and tokens of sympathy the family strongly suggests that donations in David’s memory be directed to Family Care Ministries 119 W. 6th Street, East Liverpool, OH 43920 or Teen Challenge, PO Box 249, Ozark, MO 65721.
