Chance meeting

I am a server at Cracker Barrel in Columbia,SC. I was at work one day and one of my co workers saw that she was sat again in her section and already had too many tables. So she asked me if I wanted the table that had just been sat. I said yes. As I greeted the table of 3 or 4 gentlemen, I could tell they were not from the area and I asked if they were traveling. They said yes and proceeded to tell me how they accidentally got off the wrong exit but decided to stop here because they were all hungry. I noticed that one of these men in particular looked familiar and it was driving me crazy trying to figure out why. I looked at him and asked where he was from. He said Ohio and I told him that I was also! I asked where in Ohio? And he assured me that I probably never heard of the town he was from. I told him I was from a small town called Calcutta outside of East Liverpool. He was, surprised and said he was from Calcutta also! I told him I knew he looked familiar! We talked for probably 15 minutes and I found out that I graduated high school with his son! He knew my parents well too! His name was David Myers! What are the chances! They got off the wrong exit, came to where I worked, and the girl in charge of the section where they sat, asked me to wait on the table! I couldn't hardly believe it was someone from my very own home town! It was so nice to see him and talk with him! I remember him when I was growing up as he was involved in many things concerning the school where my dad taught. Such a nice and friendly guy! I pray for peace for his family for their great loss of a wonderful man! Thank you for letting me share my story.
