Obituary

Obituary for Dean B Barnard

Calcutta, Ohio- Dean B. Barnard, 54, of Duke Road passed away Friday morning, October 18, 2019 at his residence following a lengthy illness which ended his courageous battle with cancer.

Born September 29, 1965 at East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late John Arthur “Art” and JoAnn Barnard. A lifetime area resident, he was the vice president of the Paper Service Company which his grandfather, Wayne Barnard, started fifty years ago in Lisbon, Ohio.

A Beaver Local High School Graduate in 1983, he was a member of the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church and belonged to the NRA. Dean loved to golf and drive his Corvette. He also spent endless hours on his tractor in their woods. Another passion of Dean’s was spending time at Siesta Key, Florida at the beach. His family was his joy in life. Spending time with Terry, whom he loved and adored, and their children. Dean enjoyed listening to Nate play the drums with his band “Full Circle”.

Survivors include his loving wife, Terry Lynn Barnard, whom he married November 15, 1986, at home. Their two children, his daughter Emily Elizabeth Barnard of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and his son, Nathanael B. Barnard and his wife, Michela of Lisbon, Ohio; and also his loyal companion, his dog Oscar.

There are two brothers, Joseph A. Barnard of Calcutta and Daniel W. Barnard of Columbiana, Ohio.

In addition, he leaves behind an aunt, Theresa White of Carl Junction, Missouri, and her daughter, Cathy Krist of Cincinnati, Ohio, whom Dean thought of as a sister.

Friends may visit the family this Sunday from noon to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool. Rev. Dr. Vel Vais of the church will conduct a funeral service on Monday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
