Condolence: Our Deepest Sympathies to the Bower and Prince families. I only knew Debbie briefly, having David in kindergarten but I could tell that she was a special, gifted young mother then. She was inspirational. The promises of Jesus are even more precious in times like this. May God comfort you all as only He can. May you rest also knowing that Debbie is with her Savior.

Condolence: It is hard to find the words to express my sorrow at Debbie's passing. She was my officemate for close to five years at the Charlie Norwood VA We were very close and shared a lot. We laughed and cried together. But mostly laughed. We celebrated many good times, Super Bowl parties, birthdays, trivia nights, shopping etc. What great memories. I have grieved for her throughout her illness and now even more with her passing. I will always treasure our friendship and the inspiration she was to so many.

My condolences to John and the rest of the family. I will continue to pray for all of you that you may be comforted with your fond memories and knowing Debbie is at peace in heaven.

Condolence: John, David, Amy, Kenny, and Joan, there are no words to adequately express the sorrow that I feel about Debbie's passing. It was such a joy to be in Seminary with Debbie and John and to watch David and Amy as young children. You can all be so proud of the amazing woman that Debbie was in this life. She had such a beautiful spirit and gentle heart. There are so many memories that I hold dear to my heart - especially all the fun we had together in class and her beautiful piano playing. Debbie was an inspiration! I know this is a difficult time, but may you take comfort in the truth that Debbie is safe in the arms of our Savior whom she loved and so faithfully served. God bless you all and may Debbie now rest in peace.

Condolence: Every doctor, specialist, and family member has reminded me that I have your eyes. We don’t get to choose our genetics. If I had the choice, I’d like to be known for your focus and determination. I’d like people to say that I have your fortified spirit. As a blind woman, you learned piano, studied Hebrew, completed graduate school, and developed curriculum for the rehabilitation of blinded veterans. In every sense of the word, you were unstoppable. Today you passed from this life and I find peace in knowing you are free from the torment of the last couple years.
Thank you for memorizing Dr. Suess books to ‘read’ to me when I was a little.
Thank you for saving me.
My world will always be a bigger and better place because of you.
I love you mom.

Condolence: I met Debbie back in 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Augusta Georgia at which time I was interning at the Blind Center. One thing that comes to my mind is how warm and caring she was to the veteran’s that she served as well as the people she surround herself around. She opened her home to her coworkers to host several get togethers , which were very fun. As a fellow Kent State graduate we often spoke about the “ The Daily Kent Stater “ newspaper and her love to write. Thank you Debbie for turning me onto Almond milk. I am so sorry that you were called so early, I know you will be missed by your family and friends , however I know you will continue to good work. Prays to family and friends.
