Obituary for Debra Steffen

Debra Sue “Deb” Steffen, a native of East Liverpool and 38-year resident of Arizona, passed away on April 30, 2020 at Friendship Village Hospice of the Valley with members of her family by her side. Debra suffered from serious heart ailments for many years but fell at her home several days ago resulting in a severe blow to her head, from which she never recovered.

The daughter of the late Herman “Bud” and Helen Treleven Steffen. Deb was born in East Liverpool on October 22, 1946. Deb graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1964. She was a sister, an aunt, a mother, a grandmother, a GG, a friend and a CAREGIVER EXTRAORDINAIRE.

She enjoyed reading and crafting but “GG’s” greatest joy was being with her 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Deb was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Rose Bookman

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Pam Bookman Wright of Casa Grande, AZ and two sons Rusty Brown of Utah and Jason Brown of Phoenix, AZ. In addition to her children Deb leaves three sisters Edna Steffen Anderson of Lisbon, OH, Kay Steffen of Monongahela, PA and Cheryl Coie and her husband John of Rogers, OH and two brothers Gary “Huck” Steffen and his wife Kay and Rick Steffen and his wife Kippy both of East Liverpool. She also leaves a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the East Liverpool area. While we grieve her loss, we are content knowing she has found her peace at last.
