Obituary for Deneen Thompson
DeNeen Lynn Thompson, 57
EAST LIVERPOOL – DeNeen Lynn Thompson, of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Sunday evening, December 12, 2021, at the East Liverpool City Hospital. She was 57.
Born in East Liverpool, February 17, 1964, she was a daughter of the late Richard Austin, Sr. and Alice Martin Austin. Deneen was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1982 and continued her education at the East Liverpool Campus of Kent State University. She worked as a case manager at Columbiana County Jobs and Family Services. She attended Second Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Thompson, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, John T. Thompson, Jr. of Youngstown, Derek Thompson, and Mikael Zanders both at home, as well as a sister, Kim Austin of Columbus, and three brothers, Mark Austin of Seattle, and Ricky Austin, Jr. and Don Austin, both of East Liverpool. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Mike Thompson of Georgia, and a sister-in-law, Teresa Thompson-Kyne of New Jersey. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
Elder Kevin Grant will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
