Obituary for Dianne Lynn Eccleston

Dianne Lynn Eccleston, 74

EAST LIVERPOOL – Dianne Lynn Eccleston, of East Liverpool, passed away Friday morning, January 7, 2022, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was 74.

Born in East Liverpool, January 2, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and June Simpson Greene. A member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1966, she then earned her teaching degree at West Liberty State College. She later earned her Master of Science in Education at Youngstown State University where she specialized in reading. For 40 years, she taught in the East Liverpool City School District. She was associated with the Alpha Delta Kappa teaching sorority and volunteered at the East Liverpool City Hospital. Dianne was a faithful member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church where she was active in the Valley Parish Nurse Ministry.

She is survived by her husband, Eric A. Eccleston, at home. The couple married June 20, 1970. There are three children: a daughter, Erin Frankford and her husband, Jeff, of Loudonville, and two sons, Eric Andrew Eccleston of Pickerington, and Adam Eccleston and his wife, Candi, of Canal Winchester. She will also be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren: Mackenzie Frankford, Zachary Frankford, Grant Eccleston, Katherine Frankford, Julia Eccleston, Caroline Eccleston and Luke Eccleston.

In addition, she is survived by a sister, Marlene Rickerd and her husband, Phillip, of East Liverpool.

Family and friends may visit Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. Rev’d Steven McKeown will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
