Judge Dominic A. Frank, 64

EAST LIVERPOOL – Judge Dominic A. Frank, of East Liverpool, passed away Saturday morning, January 22, 2022, at the East Liverpool City Hospital. He was 64.

Born in East Liverpool, November 13, 1957, he was a son of A. Rudy Frank of East Liverpool and the late Angeline M. Pugliano Frank. A lifetime area resident, he was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1976. Dom’s career in law started with the St. Clair Township Police Department, which he often called his favorite job. While working as a police officer, he earned his undergraduate and Juris Doctorate degrees from Duquesne University. Dom practiced law locally for over 27 years until 2019, when he was elected as the East Liverpool Municipal Judge.

Dom was a member of the Elks Lodge 258, the Ohio Bar Association, the Columbiana County Township Association, and Holy Trinity Parish. He was also an East Liverpool Potters fan, cheered for the Ohio State Buckeyes, and loved the Minnesota Vikings. But, most of all, Dom was a family-oriented father with an amazing sense of humor and was always there for those who needed him.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his four sons, Lt. Cmdr. Dominic R. Frank and his wife, Karye, of Chesapeake, Virginia, Lance Frank and his wife, Camila, of Daytona Beach, Florida, Samuel Frank of Lebanon, Tennessee, and Jayce Frank of East Liverpool, as well as three grandchildren: Lux, Giovanni, and Camila. He also leaves a brother, Rudy Frank, of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Lastly, he leaves behind his fiancée, Hoi Wah Yu of East Liverpool.

Family and friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Please wear masks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Parish.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
