Obituary for Donna Lou Perkins

Donna Lou Perkins, 82

CHESTER, WV – Donna Lou Perkins, formerly of Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 27, 2021 at the Orchards Stone Pear Pavilion. She was 82.

Born in East Liverpool, July 14, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Virginia Cunningham Ward. A resident of this area all her life, she was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1956. She worked at Riverview Greenhouse at one time and later worked in the service department at Hills Department Store. For many years she also worked as a poll worker for the Columbiana County Board of Elections. Donna was associated with the East Liverpool City Hospital Auxiliary where she was named Volunteer of the Year. She was also active with her high school class and a member of the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association. She attended Hope Christian Fellowship and most recently she attended the Tri-State Community Church in Chester.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Perkins, on February 11, 2010. The couple married March 27, 1957.

She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Bean (Jim) of Calcutta, and three sons, Scott Perkins (Karen) of Columbus, Michael Perkins (Don) of Pitcairn, Pennsylvania, and Patrick Perkins (Tabi) of East Liverpool. There are 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and four foster grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Pastor Rick Anderson will conduct a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
