EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Dorothy J. “Dot” Foster, 89, of East Liverpool passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 at her home.
Dorothy was born in Darlington, PA on February 4, 1930. She was a member of Wellsville First Christian Church and a former member of Fredericktown Christian Church. Dorothy retired from Hall China where she worked as a finisher. She was a loving and caring person who never met a stranger.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband George W. “Bud” Foster; father Henry Douthitt; mother Anna Dyke and brothers and sisters-in-law Eileen (Carl) Porstman, Barb (Wilbur) Myers, Betty (Dick) Owen, Shirley (Dick) Myers, Lyle Foster, Dave Foster, Donald Foster and William Brown.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Richard G. Foster and his wife Mary Lynn of East Palestine; granddaughter Hayley Foster of East Palestine; two great grandchildren Gage and Brooklyn; three sisters-in-law Gloria Brown, Grace Foster and Barb Foster; special friends Jim (Barb) Cornell and many special nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 4 to 8 p.m. Pastor Mark Blakeley of Wellsville First Christian Church will conduct a funeral service Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Immediately following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
