Obituary for Earl Gerald "Jerry" Glendenning

WELLSVILLE, OHIO – Earl G. “Jerry” Glendenning, 78, of Wellsville passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at his home with his family by his side.

Jerry was born in East Liverpool on September 29, 1943 a son of the late Earl and Marguerite (Eberhart) Glendenning. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1963. Jerry was a veteran proudly serving our country in the Navy. He worked as a machinist at National Church Supply in Chester. Jerry was an avid fisherman. He was also an avid antique car enthusiast. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Alberta L. (Gill) Glendenning; two sisters Rosemary Watson and Christina Haase and brother Ray Glendenning and son-in-law Kevin Carroll.

Left to cherish his memory are two daughters April Carroll of East Liverpool and Anita Meredith and her husband Roger of East Liverpool; two sons Earl Glendenning of Wellsville and Eric Glendenning and his wife Kasie of East Liverpool; eight grandchildren Justin Carroll and his wife Makinsy of Calcutta, Joshua Carroll and his wife Ashley of Rogers, Amber Shultz and her husband Zach of Negley, Samantha Meredith of Highland Heights, KY, Earl Glendenning of Negley, Cody Glendenning of Oklahoma, Eric Glendenning, Jr. of East Liverpool, and Wyatt Glendenning of East Liverpool; two step grandchildren Christopher and Isabella Gamble both of East Liverpool; two great granddaughters Ember and Kimber Carroll and sister Connie Carmen of East Liverpool.

Friends may visit Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a funeral service Monday 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.

Immediately following the service a time of fellowship will held at the Dawson Family Center.
