ELIZABETH ANN “BETTY” MILES, 84

EAST LIVERPOOL – Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Miles, 84, who formerly resided on Y & O Road, and currently resided in The Orchards of East Liverpool, passed away at Salem Regional Medical Center in Salem at 3:20 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2016.

A daughter of the late Edgar and Mary Duffy John, she was born in Weirton, West Virginia on May 4, 1932. She had spent most of her life in this area and was a 1950 graduate of Chester High School.

She was a member of the Beechwood Free Methodist Church where she attended the Adult Sunday School class, and also served as the church prayer chain coordinator.

“Betty” had been a nurse at the Metropolitan Hospital in Philadelphia at one time and had also worked at Sal Mari’s in East Liverpool.

On June 26, 1982, she married Lewis G. Miles, who also resides in Orchards of East Liverpool.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her two brothers, William and Daniel John.

Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday, where the family will be present from 1 to 2 p.m.

Services will be held at the church at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, with Pastor Norm Eckert of the church officiating. “Betty” will be laid to rest at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens. The Dawson Funeral Home is in charge of her arrangements.
