Obituary for Elizabeth P. "Liz" Ross (Pasquale)

Elizabeth Ross, 89, of East Liverpool, OH, and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2021. Born in Niagara Falls, on the Fourth of July in 1931, she was the daughter of the late Valentino and Violanda (D’Eramo) Pasquale.

Elizabeth was raised in Niagara Falls where she attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1949. On November 8, 1952, she married James J. Ross at St. Joseph’s Church. Together they moved to East Liverpool in 1965 and raised their four beloved children.

Elizabeth was employed as a secretary for many years at TAD Pontiac. She was an avid bingo player and also enjoyed bowling in her younger years.

In 1993, Elizabeth moved back to Niagara Falls with her husband and began working at HANCI for several years prior to her retirement. She was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Church. She was also a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of Italy Power City Lodge, as well as their Bocce team.

Above all, Elizabeth was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who especially enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, James J. Ross in 2010 and was also predeceased by her loving son, James A. Ross in 2017. She is survived by her children, Carol (Ray) Galloway, Anthony (Loni) Ross and Mary Beth (Bob) Hazelet; her grandchildren, Camille (Ron) DeLozier, Jace (Sarah) Galloway, Brittany Ross, and Hayley Ross, Anthony (Amy) Ross, Adam (Seon Yeong) Ross, Robbie (Jackie) Hazelet, Andrew Hazelet and Michael Hazelet; seven great grandchildren; her special sister-in-law, Mary (late Armand) Ross, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Vincenzo Pasquale and Mary Pasquale (late Gary) Lum.

Elizabeth’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 22 at 12 Noon in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church with entombment to follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
