Emogene A. Rowe, 97
EAST LIVERPOOL – Emogene A. Rowe, of East Liverpool, passed away Sunday morning, August 11, 2019 at the Orchards of East Liverpool following a lengthy illness. She was 97.
Born in Ironton, Ohio, April 3, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Flora Mae Moore Wineka. A resident of this area most of her life, at one time she worked at the former Ross Nursing Home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edward Rowe, on February 26, 2002. The couple married February 14, 1948. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel Keyes, a grandson, Jeffrey Barker, a granddaughter, Tonya McKenzis, three sisters Ethel Davidson, Della Seagraves, and Mona Brammer and three brothers, Roy Wineka, Harlen Wineka, and Garland Wineka.
Survivors include three daughters, Ava Roach of East Liverpool, Judy Ann Johnson of Graceland, Kentucky, and Norma Faye Barker and her husband, Everett, of Olivehill, Kentucky, and a son, Donald R. Rowe of East Liverpool. There are nine grandchildren: Steve Roach and his wife, Shelly, Jay Roach and his wife, Lori, Tammy Nichols and her husband, Wayne, Beth Cunningham and her husband, John, Jeff Keyes and his wife, Kim, Joey Johnson and his wife, Candy, Teresa Johnson, Alisa Wright, and Rosalee Tussey, as well as 20 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.
Evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct a funeral service Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
