Obituary for Francis Floyd Keeder

Francis Floyd Keeder, 93

EAST LIVERPOOL – Francis Floyd Keeder, of Cannons Mills Road, passed Saturday morning, November 30, 2019 at his home. He was 93.

Born in Toronto, Ohio, October 2, 1926, he was a son of the late Joseph Herman and Nancy Viola Keeder. A resident of this area all his life, he worked at the former Crucible Steel Company, first as an iron worker and then as a boiler maker. He also worked as a welder at Babcock and Wilcox in Alliance and, at one time, worked as a ware boy in the color room at Hall China.

A veteran of the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Fay “Betty” Keeder, on May 27, 2015. The couple married December 26, 1952.

He is survived by two daughters, Carol Ann Anderson, and her husband, Leonard, of Palmer, Alaska, and Lynn A. Reuter, and her husband, Jeffery, of East Liverpool. There are three grandchildren, Rodney Anderson and his wife, Samantha, Jessica Reuter and her fiancé, John Davies, and Justin Reuter and his wife, Charlotte, as well as eight great-grandchildren.

Pastor Mark Blakeley will conduct a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit three hours prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens where the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will conduct military honors.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
