Obituary for Ron Boggess

East Liverpool, Ohio- George Ronald “Ron” Boggess, 85, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at 5:20 a.m. at the Mercy Health Hospital in Boardman, Ohio following a brief illness.

Born February 25, 1936 in Jackson County, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Clyde and Mamie Grady Boggess. He spent most of his lifetime in this area retiring from the former Crucible Steel Company in Midland, Pennsylvania in 1982 after 26 years of service.

Ron was a past Worshipful Master of the East Liverpool Masonic Lodge # 681, a member of the Scottish Rite of Steubenville, and the Crystal Chapter #18 Order of the Eastern Star.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Howard Boggess, whom he married February 5th, 1972, on September 28, 2012.

Survivors include one daughter, Lorraine Boggess of Florida; two step-daughters, Pam Barth and her husband, Larry of Berlin Center, Ohio and Sherry Halstead of Wellsville, Ohio; two sisters, Reva Irene Lathrop of Texas, and Pauline Riggs of West Virginia; one brother, Paul Boggess of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Ronald Boggess; one step-daughter, Debra Rosa; two sisters, Marie Weaver and Helen Gray; and two brothers, Chester Boggess and Almer Boggess.

A private family service was held on Thursday, March 4, 2021.

Burial was in Columbiana County memorial Park.
