EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – George W. “Webb” Kinney, 81, of East Liverpool passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at his home.
Webb was born in Hanlin Station, PA on January 2, 1938 a son of the late Lawrence and Mary E. (Fulton) Kinney. Webb worked at BOC Gases in Newell where he retired after many years of service as a semi mechanic.
Webb was a member of the Coon Hunters Club and Columbiana County Fish and Game. He loved going to gun shoots where he competed. Webb was an avid hunter and loved boating and fishing on the river. He spent a lot of his spare time carving things out of wood with glass. His favorite thing to carve was gun stocks.
Webb was preceded in death by his wife Helen T. Kinney.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Theresa Savin and her husband Steve of East Liverpool and Debbie Marker of Calcutta; two granddaughters Desiree Pinkerton of East Liverpool and Ciara Savin of East Liverpool; four sisters Betty Marchegiano, Shirley Asbert, Doris Javens and Mary Alpert; two brothers Harold (Judy) Kinney and Dale (Joanie) Kinney and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Norman Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a funeral service Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Immediately following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
