Obituary for Gerald Eugene Greathouse

GERALD E. GREATHOUSE, 65

LISBON – Gerald E. “Jerry” Greathouse, 65, passed away following a lingering illness on Thursday, July 27, 2017. Jerry had been residing at the home of his aunt in Lisbon.

He was a son of his late mother Frances Davis Greathouse Noland, and his late step-father Robert Noland. Born in East Liverpool on June 27, 1952, Jerry attended East Liverpool High School and had worked for The Allegheny Barge Towing Company as a deckhand before becoming disabled in a car wreck over 30 years ago.

Surviving him is his son, William Cunningham Greathouse, and his wife Tammy Cunningham, of Atlanta, GA, two sisters, Katie Braithwaith, and her husband Rick, of Strausburg, VA, and Vickie Gordon, and her husband Gideon, of Wellsville; as well as two aunts, Geraldine Moore, of Lisbon, and Terry Potts, and her husband “Butch”, of East Liverpool.

Also surviving are his three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded by three brothers, Sherman, Ronald and Donald Greathouse.

Private family services were held at the Dawson Funeral Home.
