Obituary for Glenn Christopher Beagle

Glenn Christopher Beagle, 41, passed away following a brief but valiant battle with cancer early Saturday morning, March 12, 2016. “Chris”, as he was known to his family and many friends, died surrounded by his loved ones at Trinity West Hospital in Steubenville.

A beloved son of Jane Allison Beagle of East Liverpool, he was also the son of the late Glenn G. Beagle, who was waiting in Heaven to greet him. Born in East Liverpool on June 16, 1974, Chris lived his entire life in the area, and was a 1993 graduate of East Liverpool High School.

Chris had worked for the City of East Liverpool for several years, first in the Sanitation Department, and most recently was a “Water Dawg” for the Water Department until he became ill in December, 2015.

He was a dedicated Cleveland Browns fan, and also enjoyed following The Ohio State Buckeyes. But more than anything, he loved being with his wife, Janelle, and their four sons. He exemplified what it meant to be a family man, and was a very proud and involved dad. Chris was a devoted uncle as well, and loved hosting his extended family for backyard cookouts. He had a lifelong appreciation for music of all genres, and from the time he was a young boy, he believed “music soothes the soul”.

In addition to his mother, Chris is survived at home by his wife, Janelle, whom he married on October 26, 2002, and their sons: Zach, Layne, Braylon and Coltyn.

He also leaves behind two sisters, Gayle Blystone and her fiancé, Michael “Mikey” Williams; Sara Miller and her fiancé, Joshua Branson; a brother, Pete Beagle and his wife, Jennifer, all of East Liverpool, along with nieces and nephews: Jason “Dude”, Hayley, Hollie, Jake, Lexi, Luc, Karlee, Kyley, Alivia, Kayleigh, Kenzie, Nate, Jaybreona, Darshay, and Shayla, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, including Cara-Lee and Sadie.

His paternal grandmother, Ella Beagle, survives as well as his mother and father-in-law, Rick and Doris Davis. Chris is also survived by sister-in-law, Michelle Foster and her husband, Shane “Fuba”; and two brothers-in-law, Rick Davis and his wife, Stacey; and Rob Davis, all of East Liverpool.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, where the family will be present from 4 to 9 p.m.

Pastor Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct services at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Chris will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery, followed by a continued time of fellowship at United Brethren Church’s Dream Center.
