Obituary for Glenna E. Swaugor (Clunk)
EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Glenna E. Swaugor, 96, of East Liverpool passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at her home.
Glenna was born in East Liverpool on December 14, 1924 a daughter of the late James A. and Margery (Huffman) Clunk. She was raised by her late aunt and uncle Sara and Edward Bowersock. Glenna was a member of Glenmoor Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School. She loved to read and work puzzles.
Preceding Glenna in death were her husband, whom she married in April 17, 1949, George E. Swaugor; grandson Eric Smith; great grandson Derik Smith; three brothers Dale, Leland and Paul Clunk and four sisters Maxine L. Wolfe, Alberta Clunk, Laura Milliken and Billie Persohn.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters Penny Smith and her husband Ralph of West Lafayette, OH and Gwen Gamble and her husband Charles of East Liverpool; step son George W. Swaugor and his companion Patti Olivero of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren Chris Clemmons and her husband Jim of Boise, ID, Lisa DePasquale and her companion Tony Nance of Boise, ID, Wendy Schumaker and her husband Todd of West Lafayette, OH and Tonya Orto and her husband Aaron of Carlisle, PA and 9 great grandchildren.
A private burial was held at Columbiana County Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed in Glenna’s memory to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943.
