Obituary for Gloria J. Van Etten (Brickner)
EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO - Gloria J. Van Etten, 72, of East Liverpool passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 at East Liverpool Hospital.
She was born September 1, 1947 in Beaver Falls, PA.
Gloria was a daycare provider for the State of Ohio. She loved to crochet. Gloria was a loving and kind-hearted person who wanted to take care of everybody.
Preceding her in death were her husband Ronald E. Van Etten; father Pete Brickner; daughter Nina Haaversen and sister Nancy Hill.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother Laura Mallary; son Franklin Sparks; two God daughters Christy Hughes and her husband Bill of Wellsville and Waneda Seabolt of East Liverpool; five grandchildren Samantha Jones, Stephanie Potts, Melissa Hughes, Cody Hughes and Malyka Seabolt; four great grandchildren Savyona, Paycen, Day’ondre and Malikye; two sisters Gail Javens and Michelle Oneil and many nieces and nephews including a special nephew David Brickner and his wife Regina.
Friends may visit Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Mark Blakeley of Wellsville First Christian Church will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Beaver Falls, PA.
Following the service, friends and family will gather for a time of fellowship at the Wellsville First Christian Church.
