Obituary for Gregory Scott Southall
EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Gregory S. Southall, 63, of East Liverpool passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Calcutta Health Care Center.
Gregory was born in East Liverpool on June 17, 1957 a son of the late Charles L. and Janice E. (Stokes) Southall. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School class of 1975 and attended the University of Akron. Gregory was a member of the Sheridan A.M.E. Church and a former member of the House of the Lord in Akron. He worked as a courier for FedEx.
Preceding Gregory in death were two brothers Charles William “Billy” and Jeffrey L. Southall; sister Anna Marie Southall and niece Elizabeth M. Southall.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister Carolyn Morris and her husband Eric S. of Gibsonia, PA; nephew Eric S. Morris, Jr. and his wife Carly of Gibsonia, PA; two great nephews Eric S. Morris III of Gibsonia, PA and Samuel A. George of Bergholz, OH; great niece Emily R. George of Bergholz, OH; aunt Mrs. Henry (Yvonne Southall) Bankston of Atlanta, GA; uncle Mr. & Mrs. T.O Stokes, Jr. and his wife Alma of Greensboro, NC and several cousins who were close to him.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Saturday December 12, 2020 where the family will be present from 12 to 2 p.m. Rev. Brenda Johnson of Sheridan A.M.E Church will conduct a funeral service Saturday 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial at Spring Grove Cemetery. In compliance with Ohio state regulations with concerns of the COVID-19 virus masks must be worn at all times in the funeral home.
