Obituary for H. Charles "Chuck" Wade Jr.

EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – H. Charles “Chuck” Wade, Jr., 79, of East Liverpool passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at East Liverpool City Hospital.

Chuck was born in Morgantown, West Virginia on July 25, 1939 a son of the late Homer C. and Dorothy (Mays) Wade, Sr. He was a graduate of Morgantown High School class of 1957. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the 3rd Armor Division in Frankfurt, Germany as a helicopter mechanic. Chuck was a manager at Associate Finance for 20 years. He retired from MEGA Insurance in 2012.

Chuck was a member of Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius where he served as lector, an Eucharistic minister and was actively involved with F.I.S.H. food pantry. He was a member of East Liverpool City Council where he served as second ward councilman and later as council president. He was a past president of Kiwanis and a former board member of Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Chuck was an avid sports fan. He really enjoyed watching NASCAR. Dale Earnhardt was his favorite driver. He enjoyed playing and watching golf. Chuck was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh sports teams.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, whom he married, April 4, 1964, Dianne C. Wade; four children Denise Wade of East Liverpool, Christine Wulf and her husband Jim of Mulberry, FL, Connie Wade and Jerry Early of East Liverpool and John Wade and his wife Melissa of East Liverpool; four grandchildren Tony Wade of Akron, Kyle Wade of Ravenna, Austin Wade of Ravenna and Mackenzie Wade of East Liverpool and cousins Sharon Musgrave, Elaine Goble, Bob Musgrave and Phil Musgrave.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present Tuesday afternoon from 4 to 7 p.m. Rev. Scott Kopp will celebrate a Mass at Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial in Columbiana County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed in Chuck’s name to Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius, 512 Monroe Street, East Liverpool, OH 43920 or F.I.S.H. food pantry, 213 W. 4th Street, East Liverpool, OH 43920.
