Obituary for Keith Goodballet
H. Keith Goodballet, Jr., 83
EAST LIVERPOOL –Keith Goodballet, Jr., of East Liverpool, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, June 23, 2023. He was 83.
Born in East Liverpool, December 4, 1939, he was a son of the late Harold Keith Goodballet, Sr. and Jean R. Talbott Goodballet.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he worked for Wallover Oil Company until retiring after 35 years of service. He was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1957. At one time, he was the union steward for the Teamsters. Active in his community, he volunteered for many organizations including the Mangano Track, Calcutta Community Park and Riverview Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Anderson Goodballet, at home. The couple married March 21, 1964. There are three daughters: Shelly Stoffer and her husband, Doug, of Wernersville, Pennsylvania, Loni Goodballet-Ross and her husband, Anthony, of East Liverpool, and Beth Goodballet of Wellsville, as well as six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, David Goodballet and Mike Goodballet and his wife, Sue.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin D. Knapp, in 2013, and a brother, John Goodballet.
David Bowersock, nephew, will conduct a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery where the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will conduct military honors.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
