East Liverpool, Ohio- Helen D. Duffy, 92, of the Crossroads of Beaver Creek passed away Thursday, June 17th, 2021 at 5:11 p.m. following a long and lovely life.
Born April 10th, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Frank Patrick and Harriet Green Duffy. A lifetime area resident, she retired in 1988 after 37 years working for First National Bank and later BancOne. A member of the former St. Ann Catholic Church, Helen was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1947 and she was a member of the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association. Helen loved to travel, had many friends, and belonged to several card clubs. She was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt, who took pride in caring for her family. She will always be remembered fondly as a constant presence and a positive influence in the lives of her nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary King on November 30, 2014.
She is survived by one brother, Francis V. Duffy of Tinley Park, Illinois.
In addition, she leaves behind four nieces and nephews, Carolyn Hahn and her husband, Richard of Boardman, Ohio, Marilyn Kaucher and her husband, Karl of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, Richard King and his wife, Kitty of Dublin, Ohio and James King of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.
There are also twelve great nieces and nephews and seventeen great-great nieces and nephews.
Fr. Leo Wehrlin of Holy Trinity Catholic Church will officiate a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held later this year for Helen at Holy Trinity.
