Obituary for James E. Anderson

BEAVER, PENNSYLVANIA – James E. Anderson, 69, of Industry, PA passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Heritage Valley Beaver.

James was born in Washington, PA on February 21, 1952 a son of the late Alfred and Nora (Collar) Anderson.
He was a loving and caring father, husband, grandfather, and great grandfather. He spent his days after retirement reading books to his great grandchildren and transporting his grandchildren to various activities. He also enjoyed watching television while caring for his beloved cat, Mac.

In his younger days you could often find him and his family camping and fishing. His weekends were often spent watching his daughters play in different sporting activities. Some of his passions included watching automotive racing and meteorology.

After graduating from Chartiers-Houston High School he attended a technical school in McKees Rocks and entered the field of automotive technician. He achieved the status of Certified Master Technician. He worked 39 years at Nick Crivelli Chevrolet in Vanport, retiring in May of 2017. He also spent many years working part time at Sears Automotive in Monaca.

Preceding James in death were his brothers, John “Jack” Anderson of Marianna, and Robert Anderson of Arizona.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, whom he married September 15, 1972, Diane (Aggers), three children, Rebecca LaVan, Kimberly Buffington, and Michael Anderson; his 5 grandchildren, Hailey, Amber, Zachary, Braydon, and Alec; his 2 great-grandchildren, Aiden and Greyson; his sister, Linda (George) Comstock; his niece Susan, and nephews, Daniel, Lewis, Joel Thomas “JT,” Mark, Randy, and Robert; and sisters-in-law, Joyce and Janice.

Friends may visit Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. Pastor Norm Eckert of Ohioville Free Methodist Church will conduct a funeral service Thursday 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at the Washington Cemetery in Washington, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed in Jim’s memory to Ohioville Free Methodist Church, 6464 Tuscarawas Road, Midland, PA 15059.
