Obituary for James Robert "Jimmy" London

JAMES ROBERT “JIMMY” LONDON, 55

EULESS, TEXAS – James Robert London, who was born in East Liverpool on April 7, 1962, died Tuesday afternoon, December 26, 2017 at the home he shared with his sister, Linda, in Euless, Texas. “Jimmy”, as he was known to all who loved him, was 55.

He was preceded in death in 1982 by his father, James Robert London, and in 2006 by his mother, Shirley Patterson London.

Jimmy attended East Liverpool High School and had moved to Texas in 2009 to live with his sister, whom he helped raise after the death of their father. While living in this area, he worked at Friendly Bowling Lanes and was a member of the Salvation Army.

In addition to Linda and her fiancé, Dermaine Mitchell, Jimmy is survived by two brothers, Kenny London, also of Euless, and Tim London of East Liverpool. There are two nieces: Alicia Pipes and Krista Pipes, and a great-nephew, Jayce Barton. He will also be greatly missed by his faithful canine companion, Chico.

The family will be present to receive friends Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home.

Evangelist Will Montgomery of the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ will officiate at a service to be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m.

Jimmy will be laid to rest at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
