Obituary for James S. "Jim" Perkins

POLAND, OHIO – James S. “Jim” Perkins, 78, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Hospice House in Poland.

Jim was born in Renick, WV a son of the late Roy and Mildred (Beohm) Perkins. He spent his first 16 years on a large farm in Greenbrier County. Jim attended Renick High School. He moved to Ohio and graduated from East Liverpool High School where he met the girl he later married and spent his life with Ada M. (Barrett) Perkins. Jim worked two jobs for many years, working 35 years at Eljer Plumbingware in Salem, OH. He was also an auto technician for SOHIO and later owned and operated his own business Jim Perkins Auto.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Kenneth R. Perkins and his wife Becky of Mingo Junction, OH and granddaughter Kayla.

A private service was held for the family at the Dawson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed in Jim’s name to Beechwood Free Methodist Church, 1029 Rubicon Street, East Liverpool, OH 43920.
