Obituary for James Allen Sutton

JAMES A. “JIM” SUTTON, 57

EAST LIVERPOOL – Longtime area resident James Allen “Jim” Sutton passed away suddenly at the age of 57 on Monday, December 7, 2015. Jim suffered an apparent heart attack.

He was born on August 4, 1958 in Amherst, Ohio, a son of Billie Beal Sutton of East Liverpool, and the late Everett R. Sutton, who died in 1984. Jim had come to this area at a young age and was a 1976 graduate of Beaver Local High School.

Jim was employed with Midwest Industrial Contract Services in Girard, where he was Operations Manager.

Jim was a lover of the outdoors and belonged to the Columbiana County Fish & Game Club, as well as the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Surviving him at home is his wife, Mary L. Haught Sutton, whom he married in 1993.

In addition to his mother, he also leaves behind two brothers, William Sutton and his wife, Sheila, of Plant City, FL; and Larry Sutton and his wife, Susan, of Grove City, OH, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by another brother, Robert Sutton.

Friends may visit with the family at the Dawson Funeral Home on Saturday, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Services will be held at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Dr. Vel Vais of Glenmoor Presbyterian Church officiating. Jim will be laid to rest at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
