Obituary for Jim Wolfe

East Liverpool, Ohio- James F. “Wolfie” Wolfe, 76, of Park Place died Friday, June 3, 2022 at 7:39 p.m. at Heritage Valley Beaver following a brief illness.

Born November 26, 1945 in East Liverpool, Ohio he was a son of the late Frank “Bud” and Amelia “Mickey” Jones Wolfe. A lifetime area resident, he was a retired union brick layer last working for Hoppel Masonry. A veteran of the Viet Nam War, he served his country proudly as a tank commander. He belonged to the American Legion, VFW and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

A member of the East Liverpool Boat Club, he loved spending time on the Ohio River. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He leaves behind two daughters, Lonnie Ice of East Liverpool, Ohio and Terry Rhodes and her husband, Sean of Negley, Ohio. There are four grandchildren, Dakota Ice, Dalani Ice, Kadin Wolfe and Joslin Rhodes.

In addition, he also leaves behind one sister, Mary Jane Murray and her husband, Dick of Alliance, Ohio; and one brother, David Wolfe of East Liverpool, Ohio.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio. Pastor Norm Eckert of the Beechwood Free Methodist Church will officiate a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Immediately following the service, family and friends will gather at the Grace Presbyterian Church in the East End of East Liverpool, Ohio

The Tri-State Area Veterans Burial Group will accord Full Military Honors.

The family requests contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior’s Foundation.
