Obituary for Janet Sue O'Hanlon

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO – Janet S. O’Hanlon, 82, of East Liverpool passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown due to complications of COVID-19.

Janet was born in East Liverpool on September 21, 1937 a daughter of the late Clair and Margaret (Davis) Coleman. She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School class of 1955. She worked as a cashier and in the deli at Krogers.

Preceding Janet in death were her husband, whom she married May 18, 1955, Leonard E. O’Hanlon, Sr.; two daughters Nancy Sue Humphrey and Brenda “Flip” Scott; brother Robert C. Coleman; sister Peggy Amsden and great grandson Kenneth Stewart.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Sue Ann O’Hanlon of East Liverpool; two sons Michael O’Hanlon and his wife Kathy of Oakwood, GA and Leonard E. O’Hanlon, Jr. and his wife Sherri of Franklin, PA; two sisters Donna Cain of East Liverpool and Linda Hall of East Liverpool; two brothers David Coleman of New York and Gary Coleman of Orlando, FL; eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Evangelist Will Montgomery of St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ will conduct a funeral service Wednesday 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. In compliance with Ohio state regulations with concerns of the COVID-19 virus masks must be worn at all times in the funeral home.
