Obituary for Janice E. Swickard (Fogo)

Janice E. Swickard, 76

GLENMOOR – Janice E. Swickard, of Glenmoor, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness. She was 76.

Born in East Liverpool, April 11, 1943, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Mary Kathryn Culp Fogo. She was a member of the Wellsville High School Class of 1961

A member of the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church, she was a member of the choir and the Women’s Club and was also active with Helping Hands Community Dinner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel “Bill” Swickard. The couple married June 15, 1963. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Crystal Pendice.

Survivors include a daughter, Tracey Swickard of Louisville, Ohio; and two sons, Robert Swickard and his wife, Diana, of East Liverpool, and Scott Swickard and his wife, Wendy, of Jacksonville, Florida.

There are six grandchildren, Aaron Swickard, Andrew Swickard and his wife, Anna, Danielle Barile and her husband, Phil, Heather Swickard, Andrew Coplin and his wife, Candice, and Angela Pendice; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton Swickard and Zoey Swickard.

She is also survived by a sister, Patreen Fogo of East Liverpool, and a brother, Richard Fogo of Youngstown.

Friends may visit Friday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Dr. Vel Vais of the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Calcutta Cemetery.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church for fellowship.
