JoAnn Brant Curnutte, 86
EAST LIVERPOOL – JoAnn Brant Curnutte, of East Liverpool, went to be with the Lord and her family Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the East Liverpool City Hospital. She was 86.
Born in East Liverpool, May 5, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Paul J. and Roseland G. Parsons Brant. She was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1952. She lived most of her life in this area except for the years she spent with her husband while he was in the U.S. Air Force. For many years, she worked at Bricker’s Cafeteria and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in East Liverpool where she attended Sunday school class. She loved her church family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Curnutte, on December 4, 2002. The couple married March 8, 1954. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Grigaitis and Janet Landis.
She is survived by two daughters, Christy A. Stanley and her husband, Gregg, of Wellsville, and Cara L. Brophey and her husband, Joseph, of East Liverpool. There are four grandchildren: Jacob Stanley and his wife, Bethany, Katie Weisz and her husband, Dew, Nicholas Brophey and Aaron Brophey, along with two great-grandchildren: Sofia and Garrett Weisz.
In addition, she is survived by a sister, Alice Hanlon and her husband, Jerry, and three brothers, James Brant and his wife, Connie, Bill Brant and his wife, Sue, and Richard Brant and his companion, Terri. She will also be sadly missed by her many loving nieces and nephews.
JoAnn loved her furry companions, Trooper and Shelby.
Dr. Robert Sylvies will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where friends may visit two hours prior to the service.
Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
