Obituary for Joanna V. (Linville) McComas
EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Joanna V. (Linville) McComas, 92, of East Liverpool passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022 at her daughter’s home with her family by her side.
Joanna was born in Bernie, WV on January 13, 1930 a daughter of the late Claude and Emmer (Cooper) Linville. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and quilting. Joanna was Methodist by faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother that loved spending time with her family.
Preceding Joanna in death were her husband Vermal E. McComas; son Vermal “Butch” McComas, Jr.; daughter Sandy Adkins and ten brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Joyce Myers and her husband Roger of East Liverpool; three sons Rod McComas and his companion Stevie of Youngstown, Ron McComas and his wife Robyn of Levittown, PA and Doug McComas and his wife Toni of Etters, PA; eleven grandchildren Lisa Christopher, Holly Jackson, Mike Myers, Aaron Adkins, Dustin McComas, Stephanie McComas, Sarah McComas, Shawn McComas, Matt McComas, Courtney (McComas) Heimbuch and Amanda McComas; eight great grandchildren Dylan Christopher, Nathen Christopher, Caleb Jackson, Dorian Jackson, Riley Myers, Anistyn Adkins, Jack McComas and Ryan McComas with two more on the way soon and two great great grandchildren Hayden Christopher and Elias Jackson.
Friends and family may gather at the Riverview Cemetery chapel on Tuesday at 2 p.m. for a service conducted by Pastor Tom Adkins.
Immediately following the service a time of fellowship will be held at the Dawson Family Center.
