Obituary for Jack Seevers

Jack Seevers, 86

EAST LIVERPOOL – John W. “Jack” Seevers, of East Liverpool, passed away Sunday morning, September 6, 2020 at the Calcutta Health Care Center following a four-month illness. He was 86.

Born in Chester, November 20, 1933, he was a son of the late William L. and Dessie Odel Barnett Seevers. A lifetime area resident, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in Iceland. He was a Class A Electrician by trade and worked 35 years at WHEMCO in Electrical Maintenance. He also worked for C & O Railway, Standard Collapsible Tubing in Rochester, and American Steel Foundry. Jack was a member of Beechwood Free Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Seevers. The couple married December 30, 1957. He was also preceded in death by a son, Curtis B. Mong.

Rev. Norman Eckert of the church will conduct a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Industry.
