Obituary for Joseph T. Frederick
EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Joseph T. “Joe” Frederick, 77, of East Liverpool passed away Friday, July 22, 2022 at East Liverpool City Hospital.
Joseph was born in Sewickley, PA on September 20, 1944 a son of the late Frank and Dolores (Holman) Frederick, Sr. He was an Army veteran proudly serving during the Korean War. Joe was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Orioles. He retired from Mountaineer Racetrack where he worked in the maintenance department. After retiring Joe worked at Hooper’s in Chester. Joe liked hunting, fishing and watching westerns on TV. He never met anyone he didn’t like. Joe would help anyone even if it meant giving you the shirt off his back.
Preceding Joe in death were his son Ben Frederick; brother Frank Frederick and sister Frances Frederick.
Left to cherish his memory are his companion Karole Hile; daughter Susan Mayhew and her husband Scott of Chester; son Frank Frederick and his wife Chrissy of Weirton, WV; five grandchildren Mackenzie Mayhew, Hayley Tice, Alex Fulmer, Nico Urban and Blake Urban; great grandson Emmett Fulmer; three brothers Ben Frederick and his wife Evelyn of Leetsdale, PA, Bobby Frederick of Guilford Lake, OH and Daniel Frederick and his wife Chrissy of Ambridge, PA; three sisters Dee Dee Phillips of Leetonia, OH, Dottie Clifford of Wake Forest, NC and Janet Rollins and her husband Bill of Fayetteville, GA and sister-in-law Maryanne Frederick.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date in September. Arrangements entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home.
