Obituary for Joy Lynn Ramsey (Thomas)
Joy Lynn Ramsey, 71
EAST LIVERPOOL – Joy Lynn Ramsey, of Maplewood Avenue, passed away with her family by her side Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Life Line Hospital in Wintersville. She was 71.
Born in East Liverpool, September 7, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Opal Davis Thomas. She lived in this area all her life and worked at the former WOHI radio station as a programmer at one time.
Her husband survives at home, James W. Ramsey, III, as well as two sons, James W. Ramsey, IV and his wife, Nikki, of East Liverpool, and Jason Ramsey and his wife, Kelly, of Wellsville. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Wayne Cernich, Tiffany Cernich, Jimmy Ramsey V, Ashlee Ramsey, Austin Giralico, Landree Ramsey and Brooklynn Ramsey; and a great-granddaughter, Alix Smilek.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Toby Thomas.
Friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Norman Eckert will conduct a funeral service Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
